Welcome to
THE ART OF SCULPTING

with

JIM LEE

Thank you for stopping by my studio and exploring my passion of sculpting the human form in water-based clay. I find great satisfaction in creating this amazing and fascinating subject not only in my work, but also instructing workshops to beginners and professional artists alike.  My teaching method is structured to assist students in developing and advancing their skills, style and creativity.  Each workshop includes detailed lectures on bone structure and anatomy as well as emotion, age, ethnicity and gender.

Please take a moment to visit my work, my students' work and their testimonials on taking the course.

Thanks again and I hope to see you in class,

Jim

"Jim is known as a brilliant sculptor, but after taking his portrait sculpting workshop, I now know that his true talent is in teaching. Taking his class gives you the confidence to look in the mirror and say, Hey, I am an artist! Even if you've never had that thought before! My husband and I took his workshop together, and I would say that if you are looking for something new, interesting, fun, and educational to do as a couple, this is it! Just be warned that you will never look at other humans in quite the same way after this class. Two thumbs up for Jim."

"Jim has that combination of knowledge, experience and skill along with a teaching method geared to allow first time sculptors to be successful.  After a full weekend I was able to walk away feeling filled up with creativity and accomplished in an area of art totally new to me.  Jim creates such a welcoming and fun space that helps to make the classes a complete experience.  I wish I could find a more expressive way to say how great this sculpture class is.  Jim is one of the very best art teachers I have had.  So fun, so successful and so worth the effort and the cost.  I will definitely take another class!  I will highly encourage others to enroll as well.

"Best weekend ever!  I'm a retired teacher and a beginner to clay. I entered this class with a wee bit of apprehension and doubt. Within the first few minutes I knew I was in excellent hands. Jim is a master teacher and has the ability to guide each of his students to create an amazing sculpture. If you've ever dabbled with the thought of playing with clay take a leap of faith and experience this class. Be ready to be amazed and astounded at the sculpture hidden in you."
